Warranty
Warranty work, paid by whoever owes it
Your own cover, the maker's warranty and the service the customer still pays for, often on one work order. Stalmio keeps every line with the right payer and builds the claim to the maker.
Replaces: a claim form typed up weeks later, and the hours the maker never paid for.

How it goes today
- What was promised was said out loud, and both sides remember it differently.
- Warranty repairs land on the customer's bill by mistake, or the customer's repairs land on yours.
- The claim to the maker is written up from memory, and the hours over standard time are lost.
What Stalmio does instead
- Each job, charge and trip has its own Who pays: The customer, Warranty or Goodwill.
- Warranty lines go on a claim to the maker, worked out at that maker's claim terms.
- Your own cover is recorded on the machine. A line covered by Our warranty goes on no claim, so you see what your warranties really cost.
One work order, two payers
- The customer pays
- £250.69 + VAT = £300.83
- Claim to Toro
- £331.08
£38.88 below the customer price.
- Claim terms for each maker: parts at cost plus a % or the maker's price list, labour rate, hours worked or standard time, travel and collection run paid or not.
- "Covered by" on every warranty line, with Our warranty first.
- The claim shows what the customer would have paid beside what you claim.
- Mark sent, Record credit or Declined. A part credit shows what was not recovered.
- Next steps reminds you: "Send the claim to Toro UK Ltd", then "Waiting for Toro UK Ltd".

What is said in the video
The narration, word for word, in case you are somewhere you cannot turn the sound on.
- 0:01Five months after you sold it, the machine is back on a trailer.
- 0:06The customer says it is under warranty. Is it?
- 0:09One glance. In cover, a hundred and sixty three days left.
- 0:15Engine, hydraulics and driveline covered. Wear items and missed servicing not.
- 0:21And these are the terms you actually gave, in your own words, when the deal was done.
- 0:26Six months or five hundred hours, whichever comes first. So there is no argument.
- 0:33The repair goes on a work order, and Stalmio prices it as warranty work.
- 0:38Parts at cost, labour at your cost rate. It never reaches the customer bill.
- 0:48And every claim rolls up. This Volvo cost you under six hundred pounds to stand behind.
- 0:54Which is under five percent of the margin you made on it.
- 0:58Sell with confidence. Honour what you promised. Charge for everything else.
Questions dealers ask
- How do I know what I promised?
- The cover is recorded on the machine when the deal is done: the window, which assemblies are covered, which are excluded, and the terms in your own words. Five months later that is one glance rather than a search through email.
- Can one work order have warranty work and work the customer pays for?
- Yes. Each job, charge and trip has its own Who pays. The customer's bill shows only their lines, and the warranty lines go on the claim.
- How much do I claim from the maker?
- What that maker's claim terms say. Parts at cost plus a % or at their price list, labour at their rate for hours worked or standard time, and travel paid or not. The claim works it out line by line.
- What if the maker declines the claim?
- Its lines move to The customer, asked first as Extra work, or to Goodwill. Nothing lands on the customer's bill without their approval.
